01What we collect
Email address and name
When you subscribe to the newsletter or purchase a product. Stored in Moosend (email platform) and ThriveCart (payment processor).
Payment information
Processed and stored by ThriveCart and Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers or in our databases. We receive only a transaction confirmation and the last four digits of your card for reference.
Usage data
Standard analytics (pages visited, time on site, referral source) via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. No personally identifiable information is shared with advertisers. We do not run ads on the site.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality (login sessions, form state) and analytics cookies for understanding traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still function, but some features (like the DCA Simulator's saved state) may not persist between visits.
02How we use your data
Your data is used to:
- Deliver products you purchased (DCA Simulator Pro access, newsletter delivery)
- Send the newsletters you subscribed to (free Sunday email and/or paid edition)
- Process payments and manage subscription billing
- Send transactional emails (welcome email, payment receipts, trial-ending notices, dunning notices for failed payments)
- Improve the site based on aggregate usage patterns
- Respond to your emails and support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not display ads. We do not build advertising profiles from your data.
03Newsletter subscriptions
What Moosend stores about you
When you subscribe to the free newsletter, Moosend (our email platform) stores:
- Your email address
- Your first name (if provided)
- The date you subscribed
- Whether you downloaded the Dynamic DCA Blueprint
- Your engagement status (opens, clicks) — used to determine when to send the optional upgrade sequence
Free newsletter
The free Sunday email is delivered via Moosend. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing removes you from future sends but does not automatically delete your data from Moosend — see “Your rights” (05) for data deletion.
Paid newsletter
When you upgrade to the paid edition, additional data is stored:
- Your paid subscription status (active, trial, cancelled, lapsed)
- Your subscription tier (monthly or annual)
- Your subscription start date
- Whether your 14-day free trial is active
- Your subscription management URL (for the ThriveCart customer hub)
This data is stored as custom fields on the Moosend subscriber record and is used to:
- Determine which version of the Sunday email you receive (free or paid)
- Trigger the welcome-to-paid email
- Send trial-ending notices (day 12 of the trial)
- Process dunning notices if a payment fails
Trial mechanics
The 14-day free trial requires a credit card at signup. Your card is authorized for $0 during the trial. If you cancel before day 14, no charge is processed and your card authorization is released. If you do not cancel, billing begins automatically on day 15 at the rate you selected ($9/month or $90/year).
04Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the site and deliver products:
Stores subscriber data (email, name, custom fields). Processes email delivery. Subject to Moosend's privacy policy.
Handles checkout, recurring billing, refunds, and subscription management. Credit card data is processed by Stripe and stored in Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure — we never see or store your full card number. Subject to ThriveCart's and Stripe's respective privacy policies.
Collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, session duration, referral source, device type). No personally identifiable information is shared with Google for advertising purposes. We use analytics solely to understand how the site is used and improve it. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
The site runs on WordPress with server-side hosting. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, access timestamps) are retained for security purposes and automatically purged after 90 days.
Connects ThriveCart events (subscription created, payment failed, cancellation) to Moosend field updates. Integrately processes event data in transit but does not store subscriber data long-term. Subject to Integrately's privacy policy.
05Your rights
Unsubscribe from emails
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Takes effect immediately — you will not receive further newsletter emails. Transactional emails (payment receipts, billing notices) may still be sent for active paid subscriptions until the subscription is cancelled.
Request data deletion
Email welcome@stepstothewealth.com with the subject “Data deletion request.” We will delete your subscriber record from Moosend and any associated data within 30 days. If you have an active paid subscription, we will cancel it before deleting your data — you will not be billed further.
Request data export
Email welcome@stepstothewealth.com with the subject “Data export request.” We will send you a copy of all data we hold about you (Moosend subscriber record, ThriveCart transaction history) within 30 days.
Correct your data
If any data we hold about you is incorrect (wrong name, wrong email), email us and we will correct it promptly.
06Refund policies
Newsletter paid edition
The 14-day free trial is the evaluation period. You will not be charged during the trial. Cancel anytime before day 14 via your subscriber dashboard or by emailing welcome@stepstothewealth.com — you will not be billed.
Post-trial, we do not offer refunds for already-charged billing periods. You can cancel at any time to prevent future billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
DCA Simulator Pro
14-day refund window from the date of purchase. Full refund, no questions asked. Email welcome@stepstothewealth.com to request.
Other digital products
Other digital products (guides, ebooks, templates) sold via the site are subject to a 14-day refund window unless otherwise specified at the point of purchase.
07Data retention
